Building Health Skills: Nonverbal Communication

Agenda:
  1. Review nonverbal communication
  2. As a class: What do we notice about this woman's nonverbal indicators? How do the photos compare to each other?

  3. Make note of the nonverbal indicators of communication (write at least 2 details down for each picture). Is this picture portraying a generally positive, negative, or neutral nonverbal communication style, and how do you know?
    1. Photo 1

    4. Photo 4
    5. Photo 5
    6. Photo 6
  4. With a partner or individually: 
    1. Read about 8 types of nonverbal communication
    2. Create a poster that defines the type of nonverbal communication and uses at least one picture to represent it 
    3. You may create this poster by hand or by using Google Doc and finding images via a Google Image search. 
    4. Important Note: If you do not create the picture yourself, please include credit somewhere on the post (for an example, see the bottom of this post)
  5. Exit Ticket: What are five of the eight types of nonverbal communication?
